Janie was a registered nurse [triple certificated – general, midwifery and infant health nursing] with extensive clinical and teaching experience and is currently the Curator of the Charles Darwin University Nursing Museum.
She was a strong supporter publicly of the Territory’s first introduction of euthanasia under ROTI [1996].
She has experienced death amongst patients in hospital and community settings. Some of those death processes were terrible, in circumstances of pain and distress we would not allow a dog to suffer!
She hopes passionately that Territorians can again have access to euthanasia
