Robyn Harrison

Vice President

Robyn has lived in Darwin since 1966 and has a background working in humanities, being employed by Community Development, Health and Community Services, Health Department, and the Royal Darwin Hospital from where she retired in 2017.

She has been involved with many Voluntary Organisations and is an active member of numerous Voluntary Organisations, Body Corporates and Boards.

Her first hand experience in 1998, when her father died in a private hospital in NSW suffering from Pancreatic cancer, was absolutely harrowing and her mother’s death 22 years later was also unnecessarily traumatic.

Robyn believes the choice to die a good death and to die with dignity is important. She is hopeful as a Territorian and an Australian that legislation regarding the right to a voluntary assisted dying in the NT will be passed sooner rather than later.
